Alfredo is a passionate aerospace engineer with a specialization in the field of spacecraft control. He is a Payload/Instrument control analyst at JPL and currently supports the development of WFIRST’s Coronograph Instrument (CGI). His Ph.D. at the Dynamics and Control Systems Lab (DCSL) at the Georgia Institute of Technology involved theoretical work in the field of spacecraft pose tracking during proximity operations, experimental work that validated proposed control laws and algorithms, and the development of a dual quaternion-based framework to model rigid multi-body systems.

He obtained his BS and MS degrees in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in combustion, and data analysis at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
